Mary Grace has been photographing people professionally for over twenty years. Her humanistic style is unassuming by definition and her motiviation - rich, soulful, beautifully real images. Seeking the essential, Mary Grace specializes in no one age. Career Points of Interest The Maine Press Association awarded Mary Grace Picture Story of the Year's Second Place for her images of President (at the time) George Bush Sr. A few years later she was in the company of a different leader -- assisting a portrait of the Dalai Lama atop his roof in Dharamsala, India. Her photographs have been published in the New York Times and Madamoiselle among others. She was honored to photograph members of the Salishan Tribes for Patrick Twohy's poetic book Beginnings. She is a recipient of the Seattle Artist Trust GAP grant and is represented by Asia Images Group in Singapore. Mary Grace's studio is by Lake Union just north of downtown Seattle in the Westlake Tower Building--1735 Westlake Ave N, Studio 202, Seattle WA 98109. She lives with her husband and cat in their red cottage on the north end of Seattle. |
